For the last 5 years, Big Lots' Lots2Give program has been helping schools in need across the country. This year, schools were asked to put their creativity to the test by submitting a short video and brief essay explaining why their school was in need of financial support. Thirty-seven winners shared $120,000 in cash prizes in this year's 2012 video contest. All schools, which this year tallied 250, were recipients of an in-store donation program that raised $98,000, with 100% of the donations going to those schools.
