EVP, Chief Merchandising Officer
Jack is the Executive Vice President, Chief Merchandising Officer, at Big Lots. In his role, Jack oversees all aspects of the company’s merchandising function, including merchandising, sourcing, and category and brand development.
Over the past 25 years, Jack has held multiple leadership roles in the global retail space. Most recently, he served in various leadership roles at Walmart — overseeing grocery and private brands. Prior to Walmart, Jack was general merchandise manager of Woolworths and led business development and operations at Daymon Worldwide, a provider of strategic advisory, private brand development, sourcing and logistics, and consumer experience marketing solutions to retailers.
Jack holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Fort Lewis College and a juris doctorate in international business from the University of Colorado. He served on the Board of Directors for FMI, the food industry association, has been active in fundraising for children’s healthcare via Children’s Miracle Network, and has raised service dogs for veterans and children with needs.
