John is the Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer at Big Lots, where he is responsible for providing strategic direction in the development and execution of marketing strategies and programs that enable growth and profitability.
Prior to joining Big Lots, he was the CEO of CyberMark, a digital marketing solutions provider for multi-location businesses. Before that, he spent 16 years at PetSmart in various leadership roles — including Chief Marketing Officer — across Marketing, Merchandising, and Strategic Planning.
John has a proven track record of marketing excellence, which includes a diverse set of experiences in brand positioning and launch, enterprise strategy, customer insights and analytics, eCommerce, market research, and budget management.
John holds a master’s degree in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati.
