Its unique combination of Scotts high performance seed, premium continuous release lawn food and Scotts super-absorbent growing material make it possible to grow grass anywhere--sun, shade, on slopes and in high-traffic areas. It does this by utilizing controlled release fertilizer technology that feeds seedlings to jumpstart growth. Seeds are protected as they grow thanks to the included mulch that absorbs 6 times its weight in water to surround seeds in a moist protective layer.
